Artist's Comments

Yay I drew a background! :D Actually ... this pic turned out to be the most fun things I've done for ages. Even the 849,249,34 flowers and leaves didn't grate on me ... bwahaha, that must mean I *really* like flowers. This one time, I had to do a Pied Piper of Hamelin strip, and by GOD I started to dislike rats after a while. So flowers are cool :D

Come leaf 939,5 I turned to ~spoonbard and asked if he'd like to colour it. Because I wasn't keen on it then ... but I ended up colouring it anyway. ^^;

So, yeah! Enda, being nosy at a Ballerina rose bush. At least, that's what it's meant to be!! We had a Ballerina rose in our garden when I was about 3 or 4. The flowers are smaller than this, and denser. So ... this is *based* on the Ballerina rose! :D Also, here, Enda has red eyes. He was originally supposed to have kind of reddish-brown eyes, but in one character design sheet, ~spoonbard coloured them bright red, and I liked it for this incarnation of Enda. So, in this form, he has red eyes now ^_^ Poor En can't sniff flowers though! *sobsob*

Ho, hum ... back to work! I've got a LOT to do in the next few months so I guess I'll not be on much. :(

__ reference: NONE oops that'll be the mistake, then.
__ textures: ~spoonbard *yay*
__ time taken: dunno ... about 9 hours?
__ moosic: KLF and Dead Can Dance for colourin', my housemates talking for drawin'

oooh, lovely soft colours! Your eye for colour is just amazing, kate! I massively love how delicate and fragile he looks, like maybe he's made of china... I fear a bee may come and sting him or something!

Crikey, thanks!! I've always thought colour was one of my weakest thingies. I've gone off the deep end in neons recently, though this is a little bit more toned down i guess.

I'm glad he looks delicate. I hoped he'd look like that, and bird-like ^.^ I think he'd like the bee, also. He'd probably try and make friends with it regardless :XD:! (I say 'he' ... er, it ....... whatever :XD: )

Awww. well, I hope the bee would like him and not sting him. They say if you see a bee, you should act like a cow - real calm, and he will not sting you. :) So as long as he doesn't try to hug it!

He -does- look kinda birdlike, in a delicate way. I get a very strong feeling that his bones are fragile, for some reason - like a bird... and the way he holds himself is a bit awkward, like he's no so sure of how to do standing up normally. It's beautifully done, and you are TRES good at the colours! :heart:
